♡ A Few Things To Help You Get Through Lockdown ♡
10/06/2020
This lockdown feels like it’s going to go on forever! Restrictions are gradually being lifted but it’s going to be a while before things can go completely back to normal. The last few weeks have been tough, I never thought we’d ever experience something this crazy in our lifetime. It can be very easy to let the current circumstances get you down and sometimes you just need to escape reality for a bit. Recently I’ve found three ways of doing that which have been helping me get through this weird time.
♡
Reading
♡
Now I’m not the biggest reader and I don’t read that often. In fact, sometimes it can take me a whole YEAR to get through a book because I just don’t really make the time for it. Lately though I’ve decided to make more of an effort to sit and read and I’ve actually been really enjoying it. I’m loving sitting in the sun in the garden whilst I read a couple of chapters. Usually, I’m a non-fiction book kinda gal because I love learning things and being able to take something away from the book but lately I’ve decided to try reading some fiction again and getting into a storyline has become a nice escape from reality.

Animal Crossing
♡
My lockdown purchase has been a
so I can play
and to be honest I think this might the closest I get this year to a holiday on a tropical island. I’ve only been playing for a week so my island still needs A LOT of work but I’ve been watching so many cute island tours online and I’m so excited to build my island up from scratch.
♡
Watching TV
♡
Watching
to be exact. Gossip Girl's been my favourite tv show since I was 12 and I don’t think I’ll ever stop watching it. I don’t even know how many times I’ve worked my way through all 6 seasons but I never get tired of it, it pretty much got me through my third year of uni (stressful times). It’s a great escape from reality and it’s nice to indulge in the drama of the upper east side and forget about your own problems for a bit.
So, those are three things that have been helping me through this lockdown right now.
Let me know in comments what’s been helping
you
escape reality.
